Penn State’s One Health Microbiome Center will host the One Health Microbiome Symposium on May 30-31, 2024, at the Huck Life Sciences Building on the University Park campus. The event will assemble experts from diverse research fields to explore the intricate role microbial communities, or microbiomes, play within and across the spheres of agricultural, environmental, and human health. The symposium will focus on global microbiome-based opportunities and challenges through a wide range of topics, including groundbreaking phage therapy for human infectious diseases and the optimization of food production through beneficial bacteria in soil and plants.
