You’re making a great move.
There are lots of great places to start your academic journey, but none better for career, opportunity, community, and lifelong friendship than the College of Ag Sciences. Your talent and character will make us that much better. We want you here.
Start your application through the Undergraduate Admissions office and/or visit us.
Apply for admission to Penn State via the MyPennState, Common, or Coalition application.
If you’ve attended a regionally accredited college or institution that provides college-level courses, and you’ve completed 18 or more semester credits subsequent to high school graduation, you may be considered for admission with advanced standing.

Campus Options and Penn State's 2+2 Plan
You can apply to any of Penn State’s 20 campuses in order to begin your undergraduate degree, but all Agricultural Sciences degrees must be finished at the University Park campus. Penn State’s 2+2 Plan allows you to study at any of our campuses for two years and then finish your last two years at University Park. No matter where you begin your education, College of Ag Sciences faculty and staff can help guide you toward your academic and personal goals. Our Director of Campus Retention visits each of our Penn State campuses and helps you make the transition to University Park.
Summer Options for Admitted Students
At University Park, first-year students may be admitted for a summer start, or they may choose to begin their course work in the summer. A summer start can provide a great opportunity to begin your time on campus in a smaller environment!
We also offer Ag LEAP (Learning Edge Academic Program), which may be just the right option for you! The program, which runs during Summer Session II, combines small, cohort-based courses with out-of-class programming and peer-mentoring to help students successfully transition to Penn State.
