The purpose of this endowment shall be to enrich the College of Agricultural Sciences by providing monies for fruit production research.
Eligibility
Full-time faculty members who have efforts in fruit production research and support.
Amount
$6,600 for 2025/2026 fiscal year.
Guidelines
The proposal should include:
- Proposed project with objectives and expected outcomes (2 pages maximum; page limit does not include budget justification).
- Project may include the following:
- Research work of faculty and graduate students
- Equipment purchase and maintenance
- Library assistance
- Travel and field work expenses
- Project may include the following:
- Brief budget and justification for the expected use of the funds within the time-frame of June 1, 2025, through May 31, 2026.
- Include the budget justification at the end of the proposal narrative (not included in the page limit).
- Use the provided budget template to upload a budget spreadsheet.
- Funds cannot be used for faculty supplemental salary.
- Other personnel is permitted and will be charged the appropriate fringe amount.
Proposal Deadline
Proposals must be submitted through the InfoReady system by midnight Friday, April 18, 2025.
Selection Process
Proposals will be reviewed by the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education with consultation from appropriate department heads or faculty members as needed. Preference will be given to proposals that have impact on multiple programs.
