Ag Experiment Stations

Our college is one of the most research-active colleges among our peer institutions. Included in this broad array of research are nearly 250 Agricultural Experiment Station projects that our faculty conduct as a part of our land grant mission.

FREC is located in the southern part of the state (apple country) and specializes in insect, disease, and plant research with fruit trees and grapes.

This 40-acre facility serves the grape-processing industry, which has a strong presence along the Lake Erie coastline in Pennsylvania and New York.

Located in Rock Springs, about 10 miles southwest of University Park, the Center is comprised of 2,000 acres of farmland.

Located in Landisville, PA, the SEAREC is home to Penn State's applied field research program in the south central region of the state.
