Post-Award Research Administrator

Emily first joined the college as a part of the Institute of Sustainable Agricultural, Food, and Environmental Science (SAFES) in December 2020 and has since demonstrated excellence, passion, and an outstanding work ethic.

Emily's contributions have been pivotal in managing a portfolio of $50 million in extramural grants, supporting high-priority issues such as climate-smart agriculture, integrated land and water systems, and Chesapeake Bay restoration.

Emily's journey is remarkable, considering she had no prior experience in grant administration when she joined SAFES. Her commitment to learning and her passion for our mission have driven her to excel. She has built strong relationships with investigators and stakeholders, ensuring the success of numerous large, multidisciplinary grants. Her ability to navigate complex challenges and find innovative solutions has been instrumental in our growth.

Emily is highly regarded by her peers and faculty for her openness, honesty, and collaborative spirit. She excels in building partnerships and creating a comfortable environment for dialogue and problem-solving. Her ability to think through complex problems and facilitate win-win situations is commendable.
