When applying for study abroad, I never thought that this one decision would ultimately change my life forever.
To be able to experience the wonders of Tanzania first hand, was an invaluable experience that will forever be a highlight of my life.
I have never had another experience that pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me so much about myself and the world around me. I will truly carry the lessons I learned during this trip every day for the rest of my life.
“One of the greatest aspects of this program was its multidimensionality. It intertwined biological and social studies, which is a reality of life because neither aspect exists in isolation.”
It’s the type of experience that is hard to describe simply when someone asks “What did you do in Tanzania? What did you learn?”
1 country. 40 days. 14 Penn Staters. Millions of chickens. I lived in rural Tanzania for a month and am grateful for every minute I spent there.
I will never forget the first time I saw an African Lion in the Ngorongoro Crater, just a few feet from my jeep looking powerful, majestic and beautiful. And the cubs were adorable!
