Natives of Ukraine, the Woskobs have placed a special emphasis on supporting Ukrainian connections with Penn State. The College's activities in Ukraine date back to 1992 when the Woskob family helped open the door for an educational exchange program with the National Agricultural University in Kiev. Since then, the College has developed relationships with eight other agricultural universities in Ukraine.

In 2006, the Woskobs established the Woskob Ukraine New Century Fund endowment. The purpose of the endowment is to bolster the University's commitment to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's connections to Ukraine through the creation of programs to promote partnerships, build institutions, and create networks of support for agricultural entrepreneurs and industries as the foundation for democratic and market-oriented Ukraine. In addition, the endowment hopes to support faculty development programs, graduate assistantships, conferences, and exchanges with universities and business in Ukraine.
