Welcome back from your experience abroad! We hope you had a fantastic trip, and are looking forward to hearing about your experiences and contributions as you re-enter into Penn State campus.
Returning from studying abroad can be difficult, as you may experience boredom, loneliness, or reverse culture shock. Please use this page as a reference to some on and off campus activities to engage in our Penn State and State College communities, or as a space to connect with other students returning home as well.
- If you are searching for counseling services, please visit: https://studentaffairs.psu.edu/counseling
- Are you looking to connect with other students returning from their abroad experiences? Check back on this page or watch in the AgSci Student News for an upcoming announcement about a returning students coffee hour. Come share your experiences and learn about the experiences of others!
- State College offers many opportunities to get involved with the global community, through Global Connections, and has many opportunities to explore our home! Check out Happy Valley Adventure Bureau or the State College Community Engagement Office to find new adventures in our own backyard.
- If you're ready to dive back into internationally focused opportunities, consider applying to the Global Engagement Leadership Experience or exploring embedded or semester programs or internationally focused classes. Learn more about how you can use your study abroad credits toward the International Ag Minor. You can read or share your experiences on the Student Travelogue page! Finally, if you are interested in speaking about your study abroad experience in classes or helping with Education Abroad events and exhibits, let Ketja know at ketja@psu.edu.
