ABSM 499: Agricultural and Conservation Management in Ireland

• Spring 2027 Course at University Park: Timing TBD, 3.0 credits
• Maymester Dates of Travel: Mid-May after finals for 10 days, 0.25 credits

What You Will Learn

Education Beyond the Classroom: Learn about agricultural and biorenewable systems management from a global perspective.

• Examine how agricultural, environmental, and energy management practices are approached in different cultural, economic, or regulatory contexts.
• Compare practices in Ireland with those in Pennsylvania and the United States.
• Learn about the many different ways these systems can be managed.

• Visit a sustainable food program
• Farm tours and local farmer meetings
• Irish university interactions
• Manufacturing visits
