Dean’s Leadership Council
The Dean’s Leadership Council (DLC) serves as a strategic advisory body to the Dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences, focusing on the college’s internal leadership strategy and cultural direction – shaping long-term vision, guiding key leadership decisions, balancing the tripartite mission, while advancing philanthropic initiatives across teaching, research, and Extension.
The work of the DLC is informed by, and extends the work of the Penn State Ag Council, which is an essential industry-focused advisory group composed of the broadest possible array of external agricultural organizations and stakeholders, serving in a key representational role and a forum for dialogue between the college and the broader agricultural community and ensuring that these perspectives inform the college’s programs and priorities.
In the same way a well-run farm needs one implement to till the soil and another to harvest the crop, the Dean’s Leadership Council and the Penn State Ag Council operate in different capacities yet work in unison to drive the college’s growth and success. Together they work towards one goal – to make our college the very best in the Nation.
