Global Engagement Funds

Ag Sciences Global in the College of Agricultural Sciences is pleased to offer very special funding for students pursuing global learning opportunities even though there are challenges to traveling at this time. This funding can be used towards international research, research with an international focus, virtual internships, program fees, or more.

World Food Prize student scholarship

Ag Sciences Global, together with the Office for Undergraduate Education in the College of Agricultural Sciences offers students enrolled in the Intag minor the chance to attend the annual Borlaug Dialogue at the World Food Prize in Des Moines, Iowa. Successful applicants receive $1000 towards the cost of attending this prestigious event where you can meet and listen to leading experts in international agriculture from around the world, including Presidents, CEOs and leading scientists. This award is offered annually with a deadline in August or September, depending on the timing of the student registration deadline for the World Food Prize events.

Joseph Cordivano, Sr. Memorial Award

Thanks to the generous support of Penn State alumnus Ben Cordivano, the College of Agricultural Sciences created the Joseph Cordivano, Sr., Memorial Award in honor of his late grandfather, a dedicated mushroom farmer. This award was established to encourage undergraduate students minoring in International Agriculture (INTAG) and in a major in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education (AESE) to participate in an agricultural education and/or agriculturally related study abroad program.
