Faculty Participation in Commencement
Spring Commencement Ceremonies
If you need regalia:
- Reach out to your department.
- Contact the Penn State Bookstore at 814-863-0206. Deadline to rent regalia for spring ceremonies is March 14, 2025.
Undergraduate Ceremony
When: Sunday, May 11, 2025
Time: 1:00 pm. Plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start.
Where: Pegula Ice Arena
Parking is available in Stadium West or Jordan East free of charge for commencement.
Enter the facility via the Event Entrance and meet in the Visiting Varsity Locker Room (Rm. 165). Signs will be posted to direct you where to go and there will be staff onsite to direct you where to go.
In adherence to best practices at major entertainment venues, walk-through metal detectors are in use at all entry gates.
It is strongly recommended that you do not bring your regalia into the facility in the garment bag. Garment bags do not meet the Bag Policy. The bag policy is enforced for commencement ceremonies. This may cause delays getting into the facility.
Pegula Ice Arena prohibits signs and helium balloons inside the facility.
College Marshals will assist in getting you lined up for the ceremony 10 minutes prior to the start.
Graduate Ceremony
Any questions related to participating in a Graduate ceremony should be directed to the Graduate School at gradschoolcommencement@psu.edu.
