Information about the Annual Compliance Training (ACT), Civil Rights Training, and the Required Clearances for Working with Minors
A full listing of globally required compliance training and recommendations for supervisors regarding consequences for noncompliance can be found on the Office of Ethics and Compliance website.
All University faculty and staff who are responsible for the "care, supervision, guidance, or control" of or have "routine interaction" with anyone under the age of 18 must obtain clearances.
All University volunteers who are responsible for the "care, supervision, guidance, or control" of AND have "routine interaction" with anyone under the age of 18 must obtain clearances.
This training provides an overview of ethics and compliance obligations at Penn State. All employees are required to complete this training annually.
Completion of Civil Rights training is required for faculty, research associates, Extension educators, and Extension staff.
