The vision of Penn State Extension Finance and Business Operations is to be recognized by Pennsylvania State University, College of Agricultural Sciences, and Penn State Extension colleagues for providing world-class finance and operations services. To this end, we strive to serve internal and external stakeholders with a culture of service that promotes the mission and vision of Extension, to provide science-based education to people, businesses, and communities.
Our Services
- Provide guidance on Penn State and Extension’s financial and business operations policies and procedures
- Perform duties such as budgeting, cost control, accounting, and auditing for all Extension funding sources
- Create and oversee relevant on-demand and in-person training on Penn State financial systems for Extension staff and educators
- Responsible for sharing communications regarding new or updated standard operating procedures and best practices in accordance with Penn State’s financial and business services policies
