Ag Day 2016 - April 13th

Posted: April 11, 2016

On Wednesday, April 13 the College’s Ag Advocate team, in partnership with Ag Student Council, will be hosting Penn State Ag Day 2016. The event, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the lawn of the Berkey Creamery, will demonstrate the diversity of agriculture, its global reach and impact, and the myriad of opportunities those in the agricultural sciences have to shape the world - beginning here at Penn State.

Penn State Ag Day will feature hands-on activities with many of the College’s student organizations and live demonstrations. Plant a pansy, assess your Ag literacy, spy a screech owl, and, of course, enjoy a cone from the Creamery – along with many other activities! The students will be sharing insight into the College and majors – including our history as the Farmers’ High School of Pennsylvania. A chief goal of Penn State Ag Day is to help the larger University better understand the incredible work happening in the College, which is why this year’s theme is “Ag Sciences Lives Here.”

Penn State Ag Day is a rain or shine event.

We hope to see you on Wednesday, April 13 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. by the Berkey Creamery for Penn State Ag Day 2016!
