Ag Student Council held the 2024 Ag Olympics on March 24th. Delta Theta Sigma took home 1st place and the Ag Olympics trophy.

On March 24 at the Snider Ag Arena, Ag Student Council held their annual Ag Olympics. This was the biggest Olympics yet with 13 teams spanning a variety of agricultural organizations.

The day was filled with competition involving feed sack races, egg tossing, and hay bale throwing. The top five teams were honored as well as the winners of the poster contest.

Delta Theta Sigma’s (DTS) Team 1 (Calvin Dechow, Kaden Robinson, Jack Shulenberger, Brody Brown, Anthony Crescenzo) took home the Ag Olympics trophy. DTS rounded out their success with a 4th place finish for Team 2.

DTS is an agricultural fraternity dedicated to advancing agriculture and nurturing a sense of brotherhood within the field. They offer a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded peers who are equally dedicated to the agricultural field, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual support that is unparalleled. DTS also provides opportunities to professionally connect with alumni who currently work in various sectors of the agricultural industry. They host many events such as the Happy Valley Rodeo, a winter THON line dance, and the Annual Ethan "Beef"  J. Wolfe Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser Sporting Clay Shoot. According to member Calvin Dechow, “The bond and camaraderie within DTS are truly exceptional. Being surrounded by individuals who share a passion for agriculture is a rarity, and DTS provides precisely that environment. Being surrounded by peers who share your dedication to the agricultural industry creates a unique and invaluable bond that enriches both personal and professional growth.”

Horticulture Club’s Team 1 earned 2nd place, Alpha Zeta took 3rd, and Block and Bridle rounded out the top teams with 5th place. The winner of the poster contest was The Beta Sisters.
