Coaly Society Is Now Accepting Applications

Posted: April 12, 2013

The Penn State Coaly Society is an honor society for students who exemplify leadership excellence in extracurricular activities within the College of Agricultural Sciences. Coaly Society activities include conducting the Guldin Speaking Contest and selecting our college’s Outstanding Senior. We are now accepting applications for membership - deadline April 23 at 4:00 p.m.

We are looking for students who are dedicated to the College of Agricultural Sciences and are actively involved in college organizations. Selection of new Coaly Society members is based on leadership positions (offices or committee chairs) in Ag Hill activities. Other activities such as judging teams are also considered. You must be a member of at least one club sponsored by the College of Agricultural Sciences to be eligible, and you must have completed one full semester at the University Park campus. Freshmen are not eligible for membership. Please be thorough in completing the application since this is the only criterion used in selecting candidates. Feel free to use additional paper if necessary, and please be concise in your essay. Although applicants must have an overall gradepoint average of 2.5 or higher, the primary criterion used for selection is leadership in College of Ag Sciences student clubs.

Applications can be picked up in 101 Ag Administration or click on application below.  If you have questions, please contact Nathan Ulmer Applications are due in 101 Ag Administration on Tuesday, April 23, by 4:00 p.m. The applications must be either typed on the original form or retyped. Computer simulations are acceptable. All applicants will be notified of their acceptance status by email.
