Guldin Speaking Contest Offers $500 Prize

The Coaly Society will be hosting the Guldin Speaking Contest on March 26th at 5:00 p.m. in 118 ASI Building. The winning speech will earn a $500 prize, and prizes will be awarded to at least five contestants.

The Coaly Society will be hosting the Guldin Speaking Contest on March 26th at 5:00 p.m. in 118 ASI Building. Finalists will advance to a second round of competition on Wednesday, March 28, at 5:30 p.m. in 118 ASI. The Guldin Speaking Contest was founded in honor of Paul R. Guldin, former Penn State staff member and poultry farmer. Any full-time undergraduate student enrolled in a major in Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences is eligible to enter. Speech topics may be on any subject of interest to agriculture. Monetary prizes will be awarded to winning participants through their bursar accounts. The first place speech will be awarded $500.00, and prizes will be awarded to at least five speakers. First round speeches are 5-7 minutes long, and no visual aids are allowed. Entry forms are due on March 23rd by 4:00pm to 101 Ag Admin. Please contact Nathan Ulmer or you may stop by 101 Ag Administration Building  to obtain the entry form and further information.
