Collegiate 4-H Boxes of Cheer

Posted: November 7, 2012

The club will be sending Boxes of Cheer to troops who are deployed during the holidays.

Collection boxes are currently around campus to receive donations for Boxes of Cheer. Through this project, Collegiate 4-H sends care packages to troops who are deployed during the holidays. Items such as toiletries, some packaged food, and entertainment (games, magazines, books) will be accepted, but check the approved list located on the collection box before donating. Boxes are located in Ag Administration, ASI, Career Services, Chambers, Ferguson, Forest Resources, Henning, Nittany Lion Inn, Pasquerilla Spiritual Center, Tyson and Patersno Library. Donations will be accepted through November 29th.

In addition to donations, we are also looking for names of a military member who be deployed during December/January. If you know of someone who could receive a package, please send their mailing address to Kate Bassett.

In addition to donations, we are seeking funds to ship the boxes. A donation of $15 is enough to send one box. Contributions of any size will be accepted.

If you have any questions, please contact Kate Bassett or Jeanette Blank. Also, check out our Facebook page for more updates
