The Penn State Grape and Wine Team proposes to promote a cross-disciplinary approach to address the broad needs of the grape and wine industry while increasing the visibility of CoAS and foster collaborations with other universities. The overarching mission of this proposed SNIP project is to create an umbrella under which researchers focus their efforts on wine grape production, processing, and marketing. The goal is to develop a cohesive plan for coordinating and synergizing multi-state, multi-institutional, and multi-disciplinary (viticulture, pathology, entomology, enology, sensory, and marketing) research and extension efforts.
