Council on Agricultural Innovation: Scientific, Ethical, Legal, Social Issues (CAI -SELSI)

The Council on Agricultural Innovation: Scientific, Ethical, Legal, Social Issues (CAI -SELSI) brings together faculty with a shared interests to understand how advanced methods of agriculture can provide substantial economic and nutritional benefits, while simultaneously reducing risks to the environment and human health generated by traditional agricultural practices.

We seek to increase the understanding of the scientific basis, benefits, risks and social-economic implications of Agricultural Innovations by facilitating active communication among faculty/staff, administrators, policymakers, consumers and producers, with the goal to promote the safe and efficacious development and adoption of agricultural innovations for the benefit of society.
