The Penn State Extension mark leverages the Penn State brand to market our research-backed products and services. All extension marketing materials contain our mark. This creates lasting recognition and connects Penn State Extension to audiences.
Usage Guidelines
The visual identity for Penn State Extension is a tier two mark in the University brand architecture and follows the guidelines set forth for that level. Discontinue use of all previous versions.
Current Marks

This one-line mark is the preferred configuration.

This two-line configuration can be used when space dictates.
Extension marks for most common uses can be downloaded from Image Relay.
Do not pair the extension mark with any other wording.
Requests to add an entity to the extension mark at the tier 3 or 4 level will be evaluated and created by the Marketing unit. If there are questions on which mark is needed, please put a request into Workfront outlining the intended use.
Unit, program team, county, and program/product names are not allowed to be paired with official marks.
Do not add effects to or otherwise disfigure or reconfigure the mark.

Our Penn State Extension URL, extension.psu.edu, should appear on all publications in bold text.
Discontinue use of any graphic version of our URL.
Website
All Penn State Extension content should appear on the Penn State Extension website (extension.psu.edu), where proper branding is applied.
External digital use of the Penn State Extension mark must be reviewed and approved by Ag Marketing and Communications. Please submit a request for branding review should you need the Penn State Extension mark for digital use by an external organization.
Social Media
All Penn State social media accounts, including Penn State Extension county offices, program teams, and program or topic areas units, must use a University shield as their avatar. See this section for guidance.
