Woods provide many values, whether it is for wildlife, timber, or simple enjoyment, but all requires some level of time, commitment, and planning. Come explore the Penn State Demonstration Woodlot and talk with professionals about your questions.

This year's tour will focus on how woods help to provide clean water for wildlife and how you can protect water during timber harvesting and road construction projects. We will address how adjacent forest landcover impacts the water cycle from rain to stream flow. We will also highlight stream health principles and identify ways to assess the health of any local stream. Forestry, wildlife, and water professionals will lead tours and be on hand to answer your questions and help you find resources to effectively steward Penn's woods.

Bus leaves daily at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

*Note: walking on trails over uneven terrain/standing involved. No restrooms available.
