Each year the Agricultural Safety and Health team highlight a safety topic important to the everyday lives of farm families. This year learn about the hazards of flowing grain, life lines and anchor points, confined space grain storages and the best practices to avoid and respond to entrapment risks. Grain bin rescue demonstrations will be held to highlight types of rescue devices and training available to first responders for proper management of on-farm incidents involving grain storage. In addition, the Farm Safety Demonstration Area (SD) will host Penn State faculty demonstrating safe use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). Visit the Rural Health and Safety Tent located at Demo Alley and W. 6th Street! There will be multiple health screenings opportunities available each day. Visit AgrAbility for Pennsylvanians to learn about new adaptive resources for agricultural producers who have a disability or long-term health condition.
