Master Gardener Talks and Demonstration Area
Each day in the Yard and Garden Area, Master Gardeners from across the state will be available to answer landscape and garden questions at the “Ask a Master Gardener” table. Take a tour around the demonstration garden with the Centre County Master Gardener as your host. Learn how to enhance the home garden by engaging in topics related to pollinators, native plants, soil health, composting, and establishing plants in the landscape. A youth activities tent and the butterfly house will be available to engage in and learn something new!

Potato Growers moved to the Vegetable Tent Area
The potato plot features multiple potato varieties growing in the soil and freshly dug tubers. Whether you are a potato farmer or a backyard gardener, here's a chance to see some of the potato varieties grown in Pennsylvania plus some new varieties as well. Freshly harvested potato samples will be on display. Bring your potato growing questions to the Vegetable Tent.
Bee Tent and Demonstration Area
The Bee Tent features an observation beehive, equipment, and tools of the beekeeping trade. Experts from Penn State Extension will be on hand to provide guidance and answer questions. In addition, there will be a focus on showcasing the biology of the over 400 bee species that live in Pennsylvania. There will be displays showing the different lifestyles of bees, including diet, habitat, and nesting. Visitors will be able to see the variety of bee shapes, sizes, and colors. There will also be information about how bees support crops in PA and on a variety of ongoing research in the López-Uribe lab on bee ecology, evolution, and biodiversity. You will also learn about what Penn State's Center for Pollinator Research has to offer.
