Student Farm Club will be hosting a "Strengthening the Corps" panel on March 4 from 6-7 pm EST.
The panel will present a high-energy, engaging event that provides participants with first-hand insight into the service corps. Penn State alumni from Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, and FoodCorps will share information about their service experiences, how their work addressed problems within the food system and answer questions that participants have. The panelists will discuss the strengths and skills that prepared them for their terms of service, as well as the experiences and abilities that they gained as a result of their work. The discussion will primarily focus on the food and agricultural sector and how the panelists' work addressed problems within the food system.
Those who are looking for first-hand insight into the service corps or are considering becoming volunteers will benefit from attending this event.
