The University of Florida (UF) is excited to announce that  USDA-funded Research & Extension Experiences for Undergraduates (REEU) project "Circularity and Digitalization Skills in Agri-Food Systems (CD-Skills REEU)" is now accepting applications!

UF is once again hosting the CD-Skills Research & Extension Experiences for Undergraduates (REEU) Program, a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) funded initiative.

This 10-week summer program provides hands-on training on circular economy and digitalization methods in agricultural and food systems. Students will have the opportunity to work with faculty mentors on various interdisciplinary research projects, participate in field trips to circular businesses, and engage in professional development and cultural exchange activities.

Here are some key details:

  • Program Duration: May 25 - August 2, 2024
  • Application Deadline: January 26, 2024
  • Eligibility: US citizens or permanent residents, enrolled in a four-year university program, with a GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Benefits: $600/week stipend, up to $750 travel allowance, UF on-campus housing and meal allowance
