The College of Agricultural Sciences Summer 2017 commencement ceremony will be at the Bryce Jordan Center on Saturday, August 12th 10:30 AM.
Instructions for Graduates
- Graduates must arrive in regalia at 9:30 AM for the 10:30 AM ceremony. Doors will open at 9:00 AM. Enter Gate B and then enter the arena floor via Portal 15 and sit in your department/major section of the floor.
- Graduates must be in academic regalia (cap and gown) or the uniform of one of the U.S. Armed Forces. Academic regalia may be purchased at either the Penn State Bookstore (HUB) or the Student Book Store (downtown).
- To cross the stage, graduates must bring their name card with them. Name cards are mailed to home addresses in July via the U. S. Postal Service.
- No tickets are required for guests to attend the commencement ceremony.

Academic Regalia
Candidates for the baccalaureate and associate degrees should wear the tassel of the cap on the right front edge. Ornamentation representing honorary societies or nationalities is not approved attire for Penn State commencement ceremonies. Due to the formality of this occasion, it is requested that men wear slacks, dress shirt with tie or suit. For women, slacks with a blouse, or a dress is appropriate. Please wear shoes; flip-flop sandals and high heels are not recommended.
