Sigma Alpha is Penn State's only Professional Agricultural Sorority. Our values are based on four pillars of:
- Scholarship
- Leadership
- Service
- Sisterhood
Our sorority provides many opportunities to make friends, as well as to find new interests and engage in learning opportunities. Even though we are made up of more than 75% College of Agricultural Sciences majors, we are not limited to students of the College of Agricultural Sciences. We have a wide variety of majors including, but not limited to Plant Sciences, Animal Science, VBSC, Wildlife and Fisheries Science and many others.
Being a professional sorority consists of being exposed to professional development events, professional speakers, job opportunities, and connections. This is a great networking opportunity for Agricultural Sciences majors as well as many others. Some events that we have partaken in so far are Greek Week, Men of Ag. Calendar, Homecoming, Fall Classic, etc.
We will be holding events on February 8-12. All of these events will be hosted virtually through a zoom link that will be given to you when you reach out. Due to being a professional sorority, we can only take ladies that have a GPA of 2.65 and have already taken 14or more PSU credits!
