Fall Sorority Recruitment is just around the corner! Sigma Alpha is a Professional Agricultural Sorority that serves not only as a connection network with future employers and Penn State Alumni, but it's a way to get involved inside and outside of the College of Ag. Sciences, expand your resume, and meet new people that may turn into lifelong friends.
Sigma Alpha is Penn State's only Professional Agricultural Sorority. Our values are based on four pillars of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Sisterhood. Sigma Alpha is unique because it is the best of both worlds being an associate chapter of Penn State Panhellenic while also being a professional sorority. We are made up of a little more than 75% College of Agricultural Sciences majors, however we accept ladies from all majors. Participation in a professional sorority provides you the opportunity to be exposed to professional development events, professional speakers, job opportunities and connections - which is a great networking platform for not only Agricultural Sciences majors, but other majors as well. Some events that we have partaken in are informal rush after open houses, THON, Mr. & Mrs. College of Ag pageant, Greek Week, Homecoming, Friendsgiving, Men of Ag. Calendar, Fall Classic, and more. We can only accept ladies that have a minimum GPA of 2.75 and have completed 14+ PSU credits! If you have both these requirements, you are more than welcome to come to our events this fall!
