The Coaly Society is currently accepting applications for this year's College of Agricultural Sciences Outstanding Senior Award. This award is based on:

  • academic achievement
  • extracurricular activities
  • work experiences
  • contributions to Penn State and to the College of Agricultural Sciences

All applicants must be enrolled in a major offered by the College of Agricultural Sciences and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20. Applications are available by emailing contest chair Nicole Guise at nvg5204@psu.edu or Debbie Heeman in the Office of Undergraduate Education at dah54@psu.edu.  The deadline to return completed applications via email is at 5 p.m., Wednesday, April 15.

Applicants must submit:

  • a one or two page (maximum) resume outlining their educational, extracurricular, and employment experiences and honors/awards
  • answers to three questions

A selection committee comprised of three industry and academic professionals will select finalists to be interviewed. The interviews are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, via Zoom or Skype; this date may change slightly depending on availability of the judges. This year's recipient will be named based on both application materials and the personal interview. The College of Agricultural Sciences Alumni Society sponsors this award and formally honors the winner with the cooperation of Coaly Society.
