Applications for the 2021 Erickson Discovery Grant are now being accepted! In an effort to help students prepare a competitive application, the following events are being offered by the University Libraries and Undergraduate Research and Fellowships Mentoring. Students are encouraged to attend all three.
Week of November 9 – Students new to research or scientific writing are encouraged to join and learn about how to find the scholarly conversation on the their Erickson research topic. This session will help prepare applicants to discuss their research topic and to contextualize their topic using findings from relevant literature. The next day, students can participate in an interactive workshop and learn how to write their essay in such a way that includes a research statement, as well as their own personal story.
