Agriculture Future of America (AFA) is seeking college students with an interest in agricultural technology to participate in the 2018 AFA Technology Institute.
If you have an interest in agricultural engineering, precision agriculture, or biotechnology, the AFA Technology Institute is for you! Hosted in Anaheim, California from February 27-March 1, 2018, the event will bring together ag students from across the country to interact with professionals in the ag tech sector and learn more about the industry. The Institute is held in conjunction with the 2018 Commodity Classic; a massive showcase of agricultural innovation.
Attendees will have the chance to interact with R&D representatives from hundreds of companies, including John Deere, Monsanto, New Holland, Trimble, Kuhn Equipment and more. Participants will discuss up-and-coming technology ranging from drone and satellite mapping systems, CRISPR gene editing, air and soil sensors, livestock biometrics and much more.
Participants are selected through a competitive application process that can be found here. If selected, AFA will cover all costs of attending the event and a travel stipend may be offered by the College of Agricultural Sciences. Applications are due December 6.
