Each year, Gamma Sigma Delta (GSD) hosts their Annual Research Expo. This annual Expo provides both graduate and undergraduates with the opportunity to share their research with a larger audience -- those not in the same areas of professional interest. The Expo's purpose is to communicate the value of science to a general audience in terms that the public can understand, and to those in other areas of professional interest. Undergraduate and graduate students advised by a faculty member(s) in the College of Agricultural Sciences are eligible to participate. Over $4,000 in prize monies will be awarded.

This year, the GSD Research Expo will be held on March 30th in the Huck Life Sciences Bridge. Instructions for participation can be found on the GSD website, and details are as follows:

  • Complete on-line entry form and submit by 11:59 pm on February 23, 2023.
  • Abstracts should be no more than 300 words max (12 pt font) and submitted in Word document format (.doc or .docx) using the on-line entry form above. (Judging criteria).
  • Display poster by 3:30 pm, Thursday, March 30th.
  • Remain with poster from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm, Thursday, March 30, 2023. During this period, each participant makes a five minute (maximum) presentation to a panel of judges.
  • Invite your friends and colleagues to visit the Expo, from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm, Thursday, March 30.
  • Remove poster by 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 30th.
  • Attend GSD Celebration of Excellence Ceremony Wednesday, April 5th.

2023 award winners and new members will be recognized at the Celebration of Excellence on April 5, 2023 (reception begins at 3:30 pm in 112 Forest Resources lobby).
