Interested in learning more about a career with Extension? Penn State Extension is offering two paid internships (one focused on equine, the other on swine) this summer through the Animal Systems Program.

Penn State Extension is offering a number of paid internships this summer. Two of those positions will be focused on Animal Science: one intern will work with the Equine Extension Specialists (working on both 4-H and adult education), and the other intern will work with the Swine Extension Specialist (focused on adult education).

Both positions will give students the opportunity to see what it is like to work with Extension. Interns will work under direct supervision of an Extension specialist to design, implement, and evaluate programs, publications, videos, events, and/or other related activities. Interns will also lead a project or initiative specific to the assigned Extension Unit.   Positions are up to 35 hours per week for the period of employment, not to exceed 12 weeks in duration. The specific work location will be determined based on Extension needs and intern location.
