LionLink Projects is a new initiative to connect Penn State alumni with students and recent graduates through project-based work. Through LionLink, alumni have posted projects for you to gain real-world experience and build your resume by applying the knowledge you are learning in the classroom. In turn, alumni will gain support for their company or organization from talented Penn Staters.

What you need to know:

  • All projects are virtual.
  • The duration of a LionLink project is 10 weeks or less with a maximum time commitment of 40 hours total.
  • Currently, projects are unpaid.
  • The deadline to apply for a project is February 11, 2022.
  • Project opportunities can be viewed by logging into your LionLink account and clicking on the “Projects” tab. Not a LionLink user? No problem, simply create a LionLink account here: https://psulionlink.peoplegrove.com

Sample Projects:

  • Support Grant Research for a Hunger Awareness Non-Profit
  • Conduct industry analysis of the wheat market in Australia
  • Develop an overview of agriculture residual biomass in the UK
  • Create a scientific poster for an agricultural laboratory service
  • Create an IR Calibration related to animal nutrition

How to apply:

After you’ve found a project you are interested in applying to, click “apply”, read the instructions and submit the required materials. Read carefully as instructions may vary from project to project.

If you’ve been selected for a project, you will receive an email with instructions how to connect with your alumni project sponsor. If you’ve not been selected for a project, you will receive a “declined” notification.
