Spend an entire semester at Shaver's Creek Environmental Center!

Get outside and off campus for your spring semester — the forests, fields, and creeks of Penn State's Outdoor Education Field Lab at Shaver's Creek are your classroom for this full-semester experiential journey!

Shaver's Creek's SEED (Student Engagement & Experiential Discovery) semester features engagement and connection activities that weave together the fabric of each course's content for a truly unique semester.  All students welcome, regardless of major!

Classes, excursions and community are part of your semester.  Learn more by joining the Zoom information session on Thursday, November 5th at 4:00 in this room or shaverscreek.org/SEED

We have found that a diversity of students — including those in many Ag Sciences and Education fields — find the program fits well within the focus of their academic plan. We encourage students of all backgrounds and studies to join us for a great semester at the Creek!

We hope to host an informational meeting for students to ask questions; details on this meeting will be listed on our website once available. The site lists some important information regarding what the SEED semester will look like this coming semester, and, as the site mentions, Laurie McLaughlin would be happy to receive any questions about SEED at lfm1@psu.edu.
