HortScholars spend seven days in Columbus, Ohio attending and volunteering at Cultivate'20 - the horticulture industry's premier event.
The program will offer a beyond-the-classroom experience - insight and awareness of the industry, a chance to present on a topic of their expertise, and professional development via education sessions, networking, and exclusive meetings with industry leaders. HortScholars also receive an all-access pass to Cultivate'20 and a one-year student membership with AmericanHort.
Oh, and did we mention that AmericanHort covers the costs?*

*The only cost you are responsible for is traveling cost to and from Columbus. AmericanHort covers lodging, meals, and Cultivate registration.

Who is eligible?
The HortScholars program exists to identify and invest in the emerging leaders of the horticulture industry. The program is open to any college student in a horticulture-related program.
Apply by March 1, 2020, to be given the opportunity of your college career and an experience you will never forget.

Ready to apply?
It's as simple as completing the online application by March 1, 2020. Twelve finalists will be selected by the AmericanHort GenerationNext Community Connectors to submit a short video for consideration, then the six 2020 HortScholars will be chosen.
