Callie Belskis and Faith McElravy

Callie Belskis

My name is Callie Belskis and I'm a sophomore Animal Science major and I'm one of your social co-chairs. I'm from a small town in New Hampshire, but spend my summers living on Cape Cod. For the last four years I have worked at my local animal shelter while also being a camp counselor. This past summer I travelled abroad to Madagascar for three weeks to volunteer at a lemur sanctuary, which was an amazing experience! At Penn State, I am also involved in THON through a committee, raced for the ski team, and I'll be rushing in the spring. After undergrad I am hoping to go to veterinary school and focus on small animals and exotics. I am super excited for what Pre-Vet Club has to offer this year and to be able to contribute to that!

Faith McElravy

My name is Faith McElravy, and I am a sophomore majoring in Animal Science and intend to minor in Equine Science. As one of your social co-chairs, I am excited to plan exciting events to get to know all of you this year! This is my second year in the Pre-Vet Club and my second year on the officer board. Last year, I also volunteered during the APVMA Symposium that was hosted by Penn State. This year, I have also joined the Reproduction Research Team. At home, I work at a mixed practice veterinary hospital and a beef cattle farm and own 6 Nigerian Dwarf goats. I also have some dairy cattle experience and would like to work with them more in the future. My goal is to become either a large animal or mixed practice veterinarian. I am excited to see the opportunities that Pre-Vet Club brings this year!
