FREE health screenings will include carotid artery, vision, thyroid, stroke, blood sugar, blood pressure, colorectal health, and hepatitis C. Visit AgrAbility, PA to learn about assistive technology, modifications and resources to support farming careers. PA Office of Rural Health Worker Protections Standard program may offer one course daily awarding 2 core credits per talk on "The Federal Worker Protection Standard and Pesticide labels" at W906 Meeting Room, on the grounds.

- "The Federal Worker Protection Standard and Pesticide Labels, How They Relate to Each Other"
The WPS specialist at Penn State will provide information about the federal Worker Protection Standard regulation to help individuals understand if they need to comply and, if so, what they need to do to be in compliance. I will also talk about pesticide labeling and how it relates to the WPS for restricted entry intervals REI's, personal protective equipment PPE, and notification to employees about applications being made. Anyone in need of core pesticide credits for their PA license should attend. It is open to anyone and does not require registration. If you have questions, call 814-863-8656.

AgrAbility PA: Farming with a disability or long-term health condition can be challenging. Tools, tips, and assistive technology will be available to educate farmers and agricultural workers about options to continue farming and working in agriculture despite disability or health conditions.
American Trauma Society: Education on bike safety and farm safety will include bike, scooter, and ATV safety; concussion awareness; avoiding overheating; and back health.
LION Mobile Clinic: Visit this student-led free clinic that increases access to health care and proactive health choices for under-resourced communities in Pennsylvania! The LION Mobile Clinic provides comprehensive health care services, addresses food insecurity, promotes economic development, and enhances sustainability practices. Special Unveiling of New Medical Equipment on Tuesday, Aug. 12 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. with Representative GT Thompson.
Mount Nittany Health: Get information on stroke prevention, warning signs, and trauma, and participate in special handwashing and meat safety activities.
Northcentral Sight Services: Empowers individuals who are blind or visually impaired to live independently and fully enjoy life. They will provide free vision acuity and pressure screenings along with hearing information, assistive technology examples, and vision and hearing assessments.
Northeast Center for Occupational Health and Safety: Learn about CPR, First Aid, and Stop the Bleed from the center that conducts research, provides education, and develops programs to improve the health and safety of commercial farms, loggers, and fisher workers.
Penn State Health: Will provide blood pressure screenings, a record card, and physical therapy exercises to prevent injury.
