We Are . . . seeking student speakers for the College's 2023 Annual Scholarships and Awards Celebration.
The College of Agricultural Sciences Scholarships and Awards Celebration is held annually to celebrate the success of our students and to thank the donors who support our scholarship funds.
The event brings students, donors, faculty, staff and friends together for an evening of celebration. With one of the largest scholarship programs at Penn State, the College of Agricultural Sciences awards over $2.5 million in scholarship support each year.
The 2023 Scholarships and Awards Celebration will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023. This year's event will be in-person at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel, but will also include a web-based recap for donors who cannot attend in-person.
If you are an undergraduate or graduate student in the College of Agricultural Sciences and have received a scholarship for the 2023-24 academic year, you are eligible to apply to be a speaker. Being a speaker at this annual celebration is an honor and a great resume-builder. If you are interested in this opportunity, please complete the self-nomination form by 11:59 p.m. on September 8, 2023.
For a student to be eligible, he/she must:
- Be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences
- Be a recipient of a College of Agricultural Sciences scholarship
- Be comfortable speaking in front of a large audience
- Be a great representative of the College
