Every year, over 10,000 curious visitors come through the doors of the Pasto to explore the intersection of science and history of agriculture. Here are details to help you plan your visit. We look forward to welcoming you to the Museum.

Hours and admission

March – December, Tuesday, and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and by appointment. The Museum is closed during university holidays and during campus closures for inclement weather.

We recommend allowing about 90 minutes to see the exhibits on display. Allow more time to participate in special presentations or activities.

Amenities and accessibility

Pack your own picnic to enjoy in designated picnic pavilions areas on the grounds. There is no food available on site. The Museum has restrooms and water fountains.

Pets are not allowed; service animals are permitted in the Museum.

The Museum is wheelchair and handicap accessible. Contact the Museum in advance if you need any other accessibility accommodations or have questions about the physical access provided.

Group Tours

From special interest clubs to school field trips, groups are welcome at the Museum! Bring your class or troop for a hands-on history experience. Contact us to ensure availability and discuss curricular connections in advance of your visit.

Penn State Community

As part of a land-grant research university, the Pasto Agricultural Museum is proud to offer experiential learning opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students through internships and class projects. Faculty researchers and their labs work with Museum staff to develop and deliver programs that engage the public in current science and research.
