The Pasto Agricultural Museum is open during the show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m each day of the APD event. This Ag Progress Days find new exhibits and programming for the whole family at the top of Main Street!
We'll introduce our first interactive exhibit, "Land & Legacy: A History of the Russell E. Larson Agricultural Research Center and its Landholders," an interactive StoryMap project that explores the research center's historical development and the personal histories of the farms and families that once owned its land.
Growing Together: in collaboration between the Penn State Student Farm and the Pasto Agricultural Museum. Growing Together is a spring- and summer-long series of programming that lets you follow along as we grow, care for, and process a food crop. This project is open to people of all ages and all levels of growing knowledge and experience. We'll have hands-on activities for families at the Museum during APD.
We'll host our second annual Ag Lit Day in partnership with the Penn State University Press and local authors. The event, which is free to the public and will take place on the Thursday of APD, August 14, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and will include signings and talks by authors of books on Pennsylvania history, Penn State, and the natural world. Penn State University Press will have a table with the authors' books and many more on sale.
And in partnership with the College of Agricultural Sciences Office of Research and Graduate Education, we'll be connecting the past and present-day of agriscience research...look for more details soon!
