The Colombia LGU U.S. Scholar program provides one U.S. teacher or researcher currently affiliated with Universities that are part of the LGU Consortium, the opportunity to participate in research and teaching exchanges in Colombia for an academic semester (from four to six months).
This networking event provided opportunity for the researchers to report on the progress of their current projects and to discuss ideas for future projects. Distinguished guests included Dr. Jay Raman, Cultural Affairs Officer, U.S. Embassy, Bogota, Colombia; Dr. José Hernando Bahamón, Academic Dorector, Director for Universidad Icesi; and Sr. Fabio Ariel Cardozo Montealegre, Secretary of territorial peace and reconciliation.
