This USDA-NRCS national training initiative will help states meet demand for Conservation Reserve PRogram (CRP) general and continuous sign-up while maintaining the quality of CRP plans.

The Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) Readiness Initiative was created to build a quality pool of conservation professionals to help the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) accomplish the work involved with CRP enrollments, CRP plan development and implementation, and the follow up management of developed plans. This multi-faceted training program helps to accomplish the goals of the initiative. Penn State Extension serves as the northeast regional curriculum coordinator for this national program.
