This year's Halloween themed Horticulture Show is quickly approaching. This family friendly event will be held on October 23rd and 24th and will feature houseplants, shrubs, trees, apples, cider, and more for sale.
Each year, the Pennsylvania State University Horticulture Club hosts the Horticulture Show. This event showcases club members skills and also serves as the largest fundraiser for the group.
To put on the show, club members gather donations from local businesses to convert the Snider Ag Arena into an interactive landscape. The Hort Show's theme this year is Halloween and will contain features such as photo ops, a market area, and spooky features. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase plants, produce, and other goods. The profit generated from the event goes towards sending the Horticulture Club members to the National Collegiate Landscaping Competition which will be held in Raleigh, NC this year.
This year's Hort Show will be held on October 23rd from 9 am to 8 pm and October 24th from 9 am to 6 pm at the Snider Ag Arena at the corner of East Park Avenue and Fox Hollow Road diagonally across from Beaver Stadium. Admission is free and all are welcome!
