Students enrolled in Plant Science, Agroecology/Agronomy, Soil Science, ERM, Horticulture, Ag Science, Entomology, Plant Pathology, and Ag Business are invited to participate in a Student/Industry Career Workshop sponsored by the PA Agronomic Education Society on Thursday, January 17th, 7 pm, 118 ASI Building.

The workshop is an excellent opportunity for you to meet and listen to key company personnel as they describe their day-to-day activities and give their perspective on future employment in their particular professions. The speakers will discuss available internships and full-time employment opportunities. They will also give their perspective on what they look for in potential employees and other useful information. For those of you still undecided about your plans after college, the workshop can be very helpful in learning about various career opportunities. There will be plenty of time for questions. Speakers will be from agrochemical companies and dealerships, seed companies and others, and will describe various aspects of crop and soil management professions. Speakers include:

  • Kaycee Browell, Corteva/Pioneer
  • Dean Collamer, Growmark FS, LLC
  • Nick Hebrock, Stutzman Crop Consulting
  • Chris Houser, Penn State Extension
  • and others

Please feel free to stop by for some pizza and drinks and get some good information on prospective jobs.

So we can plan for food needs or if you have questions about the workshop, please RSVP by Jan. 16 to Dwight Lingenfelter at or 814-574-0203 (cell text #).
