The Student Engagement Network announces an exciting funding opportunity for students that supports the breadth of student engagement experiences in the spirit of both in-person and virtual/remote engaged learning. Undergraduate students across the commonwealth are encouraged to apply for a SEN Grant that will support individual virtual, remote, or in-person engagement opportunities that take place Fall 2024, including Winter Break.
Awarded students will be asked to participate in a non-credit, free 8-week canvas course, SEN 101: The Sustainable Engaged Mindset. In this course, students are assigned to an Engagement Coach trained to help students achieve their goals by encouraging different actions necessary to take control of future plans and reflect on skills acquired as engaged learners. As part of the process, students will complete the FIND YOUR WHY workshop, design an engaged (co-curricular) learning plan, and reflect on personal and professional growth areas aligned with student resiliency, academic goals, and success (e.g., skills include: civic responsibility, systems thinking, DEIB, ethical leadership, and more).
As an option, students might also consider the Max and Shirley Kogan Museum Experience Fund, or the Huck SciArt Internship Program, both part of the SEN grant program.
Apply by September 8, 2024.
