The Undergraduate Research and Fellowships Mentoring office is soliciting applications for the Spark Program, a voluntary 6-week fellowships development course designed to prepare first and second-year undergraduate students for crafting successful applications for competitive awards and fellowship opportunities.
In addition to highlighting available opportunities, such as the UK Fulbright Summer Institutes, Goldwater Scholarship, and the Erickson Discovery Grant, the program brings in faculty and past student award winners to provide mentoring and discussion opportunities for students.
This is not a research development program, though students interested in research opportunities often find much value in the introduction to campus resources and research-based fellowship opportunities.
The program offers both an in-person and a remote cohort for students throughout the commonwealth and will comprise of weekly one-hour sessions for six weeks beginning the week after Spring Break, March 13th.
