AEE 216- Practical Parliamentary Procedure is a 3 credit course that meets on Tuesday/ Thursday 12:05-1:20 pm. This course is a fall only course, so if you are interested, Now is the time!
There are six modules taught in this course:
- Module 1: Historical Development of Parliamentary Procedure, Deliberative Assemblies & Their Rules
- Module 2: Conduct of Meetings
- Module 3: Motions –Transacting Business
- Module 4: Facilitating organizational leadership – Nominations, elections, and officer duties
- Module 5: Committees- Helping organizations achieve their aspirations
- Module 6: Parliamentary Procedure in Society
This course is taught by Dr. Daniel Foster, who is a Professional Registered Parliamentarian of the National Association of Parliamentarians. You will have the opportunity at the end of the course to take the accreditation exam for the Society for Agricultural Education Parliamentarians and become an Accredited Parliamentarian.
